This underground atomic shelter with the deepest point of 280 m could withstand an atomic attack of up to 25 kilotons. In the bunker there are several forced exits that are not shown on the map and lead to the top of the mountain Zlatar, under which it was built. ARK covers 6,400 m2 with over a hundred rooms. This huge facility features conference rooms, offices, a communication block, water, oil, air conditioning and more. It was built to be able to protect 350 people, ie the military and state leadership of the former Yugoslavia in the event of a nuclear attack. They could stay in the bunker for six months without any contact with the outside world. In addition to the many blocks in the bunker, one of the most interesting is Tito’s private residence.
